(Anonymous) 2016-03-09 06:50 am (UTC)(link)Thing is I am over-reacting to that guilt because of my deression, but the guilt itself is quite deserved. I would suggest the same is true of your "white guilt". Your reaction to it is unhealthy, not the guilt itself.

I disagree. I don't think it's healthy at all to feel guilt for what other people have done.
Awareness? Yes, absolutely. Consciously trying to change? Sign me up. Recognizing your privilege? Good thing to do.
But guilt? No.
