Two possible avatars, one male, one female. The original Japanese was written so that the player character was always addressed in a gender-neutral manner. The English translation is pretty shoddy, so you get called "he" even if you're a girl.

The market for kids' shows is shrinking in Japan, so Digimon is trying to target adults more. Results have been mixed.

Yeah :\ when I first saw his character designs (I think for Durarara) I was like, oh, they look fine. Then I saw his designs for EVERY OTHER THING and it was just like... oh... they're all the same...

I have a hardcore sports bra that makes my breasts look exactly like that. Two completely rigid lumps. It's great for running (and probably monster training!) but I wouldn't think it was a sexy, sought-after look for a franchise!
