Research question

[personal profile] philstar22 2016-03-12 12:58 am (UTC)(link)
So someone requested I write them Galadriel/Celeborn porn. Which, yay, I'm actually excited because I don't write much het. But I'm also scared because I've never written these characters before. Thankfully the person and I share some headcanons about how the two of them are sexually, so that helps.

But what is the best way to go about research? I don't think I need to get super in depth in characterization for just a porn fic. But I don't want my characterization to be off. How do you research characterization? I've got canon and I've got a few sources on the character's history. But I'm more thinking in terms of writing them and how they act, which considering the particular canon and the time period I'm writing (very early in their relationship), I don't have a ton to work with.
