my mom just sends me really weird texts in ALLCAPS about ll sort of weird stuff, including stuff like her having back pain etc. It's like freeform for old people.

My mom's just been getting into Hamilton so it's been a lot of that from her. Which is fine with me.

My mom will just send me titles of songs she hears on the radio. As she tends to listen to country radio, I get some interesting ones. Sometimes she does put the artists, other times, just the song title.

My parents tend to email me more than text me, so I'll go with yesterday's email of: "Tonight's first Jeopardy category: Oooh, shiny things".

A legit commentary on my attention span most of the time.

When I was in New York my father texted me out of the blue about who won our Eurovision preliminaries (choosing which song we're sending to the semi-finals) and that he was a bit sad that the song he wanted to go through didn't. He sent it to both me and my sister, and we both found it super random.
