How do any of you who write long, multi-chaptered fics keep posting? I always forget and/or run out of energy.

*glances shiftily at AO3 page*

I finish the fic before I start posting - and then I think about the guilt I would feel in the afterlife if I got run over by a bus before I finished posting.

I honestly have no idea how I managed to finish the 47 chapter monstrosity that was supposed to have been a one-shot.

If I'd known at the time what I was getting into, I would have ended up curled under a table in sheer intimidation.

Right now I am working on a much shorter story, and I'm going to finish it all and then post, because Fuck to the No am I ever doing that to myself again.

Vague planning (too much planing makes me lose the interest, too little makes me lose my ideas), rewatching the canon or at least some of my favorite parts, reading multi-chapter fics, talking with my readers.
