Re: Favorite fantasy races

My feeling about the original myths for these races are mixed (so much sexual violence) but I do like many of their interpretations since then. Ex.The Great God Pan by Napoli, Foaly from Artemis Fowl, and the Fantasia Centaurs.

What stories do you like?

The sexual violence is a huge part of the appeal. Yes, I know I'm going to hell, don't care.

TBH the original myths are the only written source material I'm familiar with. But I like seeing all the different interpretations in art. And the Fantasia Centaurs are great! I haven't seen that film in ages. Think I'll go try to find that scene on youtube...

Hey. Fair enough. I have a sizable number of non-con fic bookmarked.

The only other source for Satyrs I know are the erotic books by Elizabeth Amber. Yes, I've read them, or at least the first few. I really enjoyed the first one. I don't even care. Not at all true to the source material, but still fun.

Oooh, I'll check them out. Satyrs are probably my favorite of the three. Thanks for the rec!

FYI, one of the defining features of Satyrs in her books are double penises (though the second one is magical and only comes out occasionally). Personally that was one of the big draws for me, but that may not be everyone's kink. And she tends to go into more unusual kinks and things you don't normally see in erotica. The heroine of the second book was intersex, which I actually loved. And the first one features magical sex toys.

That all sounds awesome, actually. I love the more unusual stuff.

Me too. Published erotica is very often extremely samey, so I love finding authors that do different things. Another favorite author of mine is Joey Hill who has done all sorts of dynamics in interesting ways (though I avoid her vampire books because they are her one set that has some of the same sort of noncon disguised as consensual stuff that often shows up in other erotica).
