Re: injury scars, I have some nasty ones from an accident, and I do like it when my partner touches them - for me, it's affirmation that I'm not broken or lesser because of my scars. Which obviously is a ymmv thing, but the trope doesn't come out of nowhere.

This is how I feel, and why I like the trope in fic.

I can definitely see why (like everything else in life) scars can be a turnoff, but I both have scars, and think scars are sexy because each one tells a story, whether it be an accident, surgery, knife fight, etc.

But of course I always ask my partners IRL if it's okay to touch, and make it clear it's fine to touch mine all they want.
