I actually love the new art a lot! It's very crisp and I like the general shapes and the contrast in the coloring. But to each his own, of course.

So... Exactly the same but better colour/crisper line quality? Like, even the boob triangles are the same.

Although I'm not the biggest fan of Pokemon's artwork, I have the same preference as you. There's some odd charm in the old art while the new one looks kinda generic to me.

idk, I never really liked Sugimori's blocky, pointy humans. Ohmura draws them softer and cuter, which I like. Buck teeth and all.

Sugimori did better pokemon designs, though.

I mean there's various designers for 'em but he does the offical art and rolls out any kinks with design. I thought Ohmura just drew the people.

I definitely agree with you, OP. I prefer the older art to the newer. The newer designs for the people and pokemon are fine, but they have a different 'flavour' to the old stuff and I definitely prefer the old stuff. Even with older and newer pictures of the same pokemon, the old pictures usually win out.
