I didn't mind Paul McCartney doing it, so I don't mind Palmer doing it. Mind you, Paul used the photo with his baby daughter on the back cover.

To be fair, that album was released in an age where distribution wasn't as fast or widespread as it is today. It's like sharing photos of your baby with your extended family and maybe some neighbors in your town vs. sharing photos of your baby with the entire freaking internet.

Although, as Paul was a Beatle, an awful lot of people could be expected to take notice of that album.
