Playing: Fire Emblem Fates. It's fun but I take forever in these games because I have to level everyone up.

I'm looking forward to Persona 5. Hopefully, it's better than 4.

I agree about Persona 5! 4 was such a let down in comparison to 3 (and 2, actually, though I played it long after the others, haha), and the way they've been pimping out all those shitty spin-off games makes me super worried about what the quality of characters/plot will be like (since by now they know fans will buy fucking anything they make).

I'm glad someone agrees. 4 is so popular but I'd rank it as probably one of the worst games in the entire Megaten series.

I have hopes for 5. I love that the characters are thieves; it seems fun. I also like the theme they're using.

Yeah, I agree. I think the biggest flaw with P4 was that the characters didn't feel like real people; they only seemed to exist to each make a separate point about Japanese society. I didn't actively want to do... well, any of the social links at all, honestly, which is a pretty bad sign for someone who's usually all about the characters. (should I hang out with the shitty mother or the creepy nurse who hits on high school boys? um, how about neither?)

I also wasn't big on the setting, the humour was pretty awful in general & Adachi was waaaay over-the-top as a villain. It annoys me a bit that it's the most popular game, haha.

That's exactly it. I didn't care for the characters much. I feel like a lot of the popularity is from MC/Yosuke shippers. Normally I love slash but I dislike Yosuke.

The constant gay jokes kinda sealed the deal with me disliking him, yeah (especially the stuff about Kanji, which just ended up seeming cruel instead of funny? IDK, again, the humour in P4 really sucked).
