There was no outcry among jewish communities when she implied that WWII and the holocaust were (in part) connected to Grindelwald.

A significant difference there is that Rowling didn't take something that Jewish tradition names as evil (e.g. Nazis) and say, "No, the bad guys are the ones who called Nazis evil in the first place." But that is what she did with Navajos and skinwalkers.
