You really don't. No matter how fascinating a musician's life is/was, Hollywood scriptwriters still have a compulsion to tart it up and make it more dramatic. The soundtrack will be great, but the film will ultimately disappoint.

This is such a lovely secret! Pete Seeger is one of my all-time favorite singers after a teacher introduced me to him. I'm definitely in the same camp as your mom.
