Not sure if this really counts, but I'm responsible for starting the "Bride is a Boy" secrets. Haven't seen it mentioned outside of f!s at all and I was the one who made the first secret. Was not expecting this sort longevity out of it, oh my god.

I dunno if this really counts as fandom but for a while a friend and I were responsible for a bunch of Counter-Strike Source servers having "no suicide bombing" rules, because of a tactic where we'd charge the enemy team with primed HE grenades. We'd inevitably die, the grenade would drop due to ~physics and go off. Funny as hell and really effective in close quarters maps like cs_office. Got banned from a couple servers for that and for a while after I saw other servers with that rule up.

This is like, the meathead equivalent to sitting on a spawn spot.

What can I say, I was never the best player so I used the tactics available to me. I discovered it entirely by accident, too.

Nothing, though tried desperately to make "Annoying Out Loud" (for AOL) a thing back in the day.

Trouble is, it wasn't particularly original. I'm sure I wasn't the only one who made that joke.

I started a bit of a trend in the tiny corner of an anime fandom for the way a het rarepair was shipped, but I'm super embarrassed to mention it now because I was a teenager with weird fetishes and the way I did it was kind of skeevy. I can't believe people picked up on it. It was so weird and OOC.

I started the trend of having anime-based musicals at cons in Israel. I made the first one, and my group subsequently made two more, both of which are still widely remembered.
These musicals have been going on for nearly 10 years now!

Well that makes you a double asshole then, doesn't it.

Triple. I made three musicals, not two. Can't you count?

The musicals only count as one thing.

What's your problem with musicals? Did a musical kill your mother or something?

I started a short but hilarious period of RPing on a non-RP server on WoW. It lasted about 2 months.

Totally accidentally and innocently started a huge wank over pedophilia that culminated in the LJ comm owner saying "Fuck y'all" and shutting down the comm. Everyone splintered into different groups after that. It was never the same. I'm not gonna give any specifics, before you ask.

Uh, Mairon's ass became a thing in fandom thanks to a few discussions I had with various people.

I'm pretty sure I also started the Mairon as a picky eater thing.

Honestly, I've posted so many Mairon headcanons, and quite a few of them have taken in fandom. It is a small fandom, and my headcanon posts seem to be my most popular contribution to the fandom. I didn't even intend it to be a thing, but then it became one and I keep making them because people like them.

Being a prolific writer for a certain fandom in my native language, when I started shipping together background characters A & B I popularized the pairing. To the point that everyone in our corner of fandom associated it with me and when I started also shipping A & C nobody could register it.
