But if they're like "only happy uplifting things 100% of the time, don't even talk to me about world news lalala" it gets... weird.

(Anonymous) 2016-03-16 11:42 pm (UTC)(link)I mean, like I said, I CAN watch a sad/depressing film, but 99% of the time unless the storyline itself pulls me in, it's not something I'll seek out because to me fictional media is there for me to BE happy and uplifted when so many news stories focus on death, rape, racism, kidnappings, etc.
It's not ignoring that there are bad things in the world. It's honestly the opposite.
