So Jared Fogle is apparently actually facing some justice in prison. I can't describe how happy this makes me. I hope the rest of his life is misery beatings sodomy and more no-one ever giving him the chance at help. Out prison system is actually doing some good for a rare change. I'm so happy.

That's not how it works.

I mean, not that I can really muster any sympathy for him as an individual, but that's not how a civilized society can effectively constrain and/or rehabilitate dangerous criminals who have defective brains. All it really does is create an underclass comprised of a) unemployable traumatized emotionally-crippled helpless displaced people who can't make a living without turning to crime and b) zombie-like sinkholes for taxpayer money who don't contribute anything to society and are just waiting to die. Schadenfreude feels good but it doesn't DO anything or help anyone. And the threat doesn't stop people like him.
