Good for you nonny. The best thing you can do is keep staying out of contact with her.

It's awfully telling that she sought you out--most abuse victims don't go seeking out contact with their abusers once they've broken free for good. Sounds a lot more like she was trying to manipulate you into feeling guilty so she could keep up the abuse.

^^ This. Most victims of abuse try to get the hell out of dodge and cut off all contact. Not try to actively engage with their abuser.

I think she was definitely aiming for a Round 2. Either that or she was just bored and trying to stir up shit. Like I said, that was her favorite tactic.

We're both disabled, and she'd do things like purposefully deprive me of sleep or throw me off my meds schedule so I'd be really out of it for days or even weeks at a time. She'd wait until weird horrible times (like 3am before an important job interview) to come over and give me the latest sob story about how NO ONE IN THE WORLD understands how hard it is to live with x disability and how y person and z person were super duper mean to her today and btw anon I feel like you just aren't sensitive enough to my needs. Then, if I dared even hint that I wasn't 100% interested and attentive she do a 180 and I'd become the most evil abusive partner ever.

tbh I'm still not entirely sure how much was a deliberate game on her part, or if she just has a huge persecution complex, or some weird combination of both?
