I bought a small acer netbook several years back because all I really wanted it for was some light internet and a word processor. In theory, not a bad idea.

It was so clunky and odd that it never got the right 'handfeel' and about all I managed to do was teach myself how to install a Linux offshoot OS onto it because the budget Windows it came with was shit.

If I do that again, I'll save up and do a lot more research and get a proper tablet.
