Watching Supernatural. One of my friends is really into it and likes to talk about it, so I'm finally gonna watch the DVDs she let me borrow. I hope it's as good as she claims it is.

First 5 seasons are great. And it is good you have the DVDs. Netflix and reruns have music changes that don't have the same oomph to them.

I got into Supernatural the same way. I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I do, but my friend really wanted someone to talk to about it, so I watched.

The first five seasons were a really tightly plotted arc. They came to the original showrunner's planned end and the network said "hey, let's keep going" and as a result, there are times when it kind of meanders. But even when the season-long arc is poorly plotted and wtf-inducing, there have been individual episodes I've really enjoyed.
