It's not in the movie but in one of the additional material books (in the visual dictionary I think?) - basically, it says that Kylo killed them and it earned him the nickname "Jedi killer."

That's pretty boring. I bet it earned him some more creative nicknames that got left out of the dictionary.

I certainly hope so. It's unimaginative as hell.

You DO supposedly see him, with his Knights, standing over what looks to be Jedi Apprentices....it's in that Force Vision scene that Rey had....you know..force vision..that seems to be a Skywalker Family trait...?

Yeah, that, too. I feel like a lot of people slept right through that entire scene the way it gets ignored by so many...

Tbf, that part of the movie was super dark and obscured by rain. It honestly looked more like the stones on Ahch-to. Can't wait to get the blu-ray so I can Zapruder that scene thoroughly.

Yeah, agreed. If only watched once at the cinema, there was a lot of stuff to miss. But that's why I always am a little irritated at people who go "this is canon truth in the movie I only watched once and apparently misinterpreted and missed a lot of" in discussions like this. I totally get that you can miss things, have different interpretations and everything. But saying "my opinion is right" when all in the canon seems to point in an entirely different direction... eh.

Star Wars has pulled this before. One Padawan murders all the others and gets the nickname "Jedi Killer". The only problem with his infamy is that he was framed. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Zayne_Carrick

I am absolutely not saying that Kylo Ren is innocent. We don't know. There might have been a massacre and Kylo Ren might have done it. It just hasn't been confirmed yet.

Be that as it may, it's still an accepted "fact" for the character in his canon universe, so this probably counts more for the plot than the meta-knowledge of did or didn't he do it (and even if he didn't, he killed enough other people to make up for it).
