A lot of articles about her definitely point out more about her father's control and that's why she was sort of dropped.

Christina Ricci and Thora Birch were both in Now and Then and I've found both of their career trajectories interesting.

I heard a podcast of Christina Ricci on the Nerdist a few years ago and it was great to listen to what she's been up to.

I have no idea what the other two girls ended up doing.

So have I. Now and Then was one of my favourite movies as a kid, and I'm still interested in all of those actresses. Gaby Hoffman made a comeback recently in Transparent, and I think Christina Ricci is doing TV shows now? She seem to be doing okay-ish. And one of them died, which is sad and depressing.

Thanks for the updates, I didn't know Gaby Hoffman had been doing anything recently.

Now and Then's soundtrack was one of my favorite soundtracks as a kid.

It did have great music, didn't it? They used the songs really well too. And I just remembered that Brendan Fraser and Janeane Garofalo had funny cameos in it. I just have a lot of nostalgic love for this movie.

My friends and I spent a summer watching this movie all the time and decided we wanted to dress like them and be all cool and sang along to the soundtrack nonstop.

They cast the actresses (young and old) perfectly too.

What a weird interview. Not wild about the way it talked about Scarjo, even if I'm not *super* wild about her either.

I feel really sorry for her. There have been rumors going around for years that her father is a creepy controlling manager figure, and that it's mostly HIS behavior that's gotten her fired or lost her jobs. Nobody wants to deal with him, and it's damaged her career.
