how is she an awesome character? I can't help but envision her as a tacky 80s comic book villainess walking among real people. If that's what you mean by awesome mor he man power to ya, but I find it out of place and over the top and, well, "blond bimbo"ish. Like the stereotypical high school blondie with tits who goes to a good college and does political work because it "runs in the family" and she's not stupid, but she has a way higher opinion of herself than she ought to, and takes too much for granted.

As far as I understand, Bimbo is generally used to refer to women, more often than not blonde, who have no intelligence at all on any scale and only get by on account of their looks and on being considered a sex object.

I think you misunderstand what "bimbo" means. It generally refers to a girl/woman who is pretty, but dumb. What you've described doesn't really fit, and the term doesn't fit Cersei at all. Cersei is beautiful, but far too scheming (even if the schemes don't always work out) to be called a "bimbo". A bimbo is a woman who doesn't have the intelligence to manipulate ANYONE.
