It's weird that they want to check your stomach, but whatev, they know better. Get checked for vitamins too. The tests are fairly expensive though.
Anyway good luck!
I was told that the illness is not chronic until it lasts for more than, er, I don't remember, but something like 3 or 5 years, or if it's an illness that is known to be chronic.

Thankfully, I don't have to pay for tests. I'm in the EU so free healthcare. I do have vitamin B12 and D deficiencies but they were treated, and have been treated for years now so they should have cleared up if they were the root cause.

This has been going on for close to a decade with my symptoms getting progressively worse.
