Re: Anti-capitalists
It's a bit like a match of Counter-Strike between two teams of equal skill. The way Counter-Strike works, each round the players are given money to buy weapons and equipment in a short period before the round starts, then they rush off to do battle. The better you or your teammates do in a round (killing an enemy, achieving objectives, staying alive the whole round, etc.) the more money you get for the next round, allowing you to buy better stuff. In an evenly matched scenario the team with the better skill is the victor.
But what happens when Team Fuckass cheats? They can see other players through walls (and shoot through them,) they can zip around the map, etc. Now Team Shitwank has to cheat just to keep up -- if they don't just leave the game in frustration. And that's why we have anti-cheat systems in place -- cheaters get in trouble, and get banned from playing the game. The idea of a free market hinges on the assumption of fairness, of an equal shot. But without regulations to keep corporations from cheating, we're all at risk of getting wallhack no-scoped in the economic security.
