Secret 15 made me desperately want to read some good HP fic. (Plus, i rewatched the movies the other week.)

I'd love some stories where Draco isn't left to be forced into becoming a Voldemort follower (my gods, him nearly breaking down in the bathroom, when Harry comes to find him and they fight? He is so ready to be 'rescued' at that point), where he's allowed into the 'magic circle' and becomes one of Dumbledore's followers, instead, or Harry's...something.

Just let Draco have Harry and Hermione and Ron for friends and some Harry/Draco, please! Bonus points if Harry either refuses to go back to the Dursley's and/or gets his own place (he's rich!) and/or some adult realizes how crappy that situation is.

I'd try posting here. And then I wish you the best of luck because finding HP fic is hard.

Ever thing by Saras_girl, tbh, but 'Turn' fits want you want in a twisty sort of way (http://archiveofourown.org/works/879852/chapters/1692695). She writes really lovely, comfortable romance novels that are full of good OCs and and fleshed out back-ground characters. Everything by lettered too, but 'The Pure and Simple True' (http://archiveofourown.org/works/392764/chapters/645041) is post-Hogwarts that features friendships between the trio and Draco and others. Ah! I can't find any canon divergent fics from the bathroom scene but I know they exist! I'll be be back later if I can find any.

omg there used to be this incredible fic titled "Draco Malfoy the Amazing Bouncing...Rat?" and it was comedy but also oddly poignant and very self-aware. The author deleted herself off ff.net but I think some people archived it somewhere??

Not as Draco-centric, but "Balance" by rabbit and jinx on ff.net is my all time favorite harry potter gen/adventure fic, with great inter-house cooperation and MAGIC and A BALROG and TIME GOING WIBBLY WOBBLY it is glorious i love it to excess
