I vaguely remember, a few very minor characters had daemons that were smaller versions of big animals. So an elephant daemon would probably be a something close to dog-sized elephant.

And I guess with a protozoa it would be the same idea but in reverse, the size of a large insect maybe. Kind of gross though, lol. I wouldn't want to be that person.

Me neither. Huh, there was an insect daemon carried in a box, hidden away in a daemon!AU fic.
Smaller animals make perfect sense.
