If it helps, I HATE third POV. HATE IT. Can't stand it. It's a rare game where I will try to ignore it. I find it frustrating to the max and I rarely want to see my character.

What do you hate about it other than seeing your character?

I can't stand not being able to see my surroundings in first person. And I find it hard controlling the character. I always end up spinning and making myself nauseous! It's like, *tries to turn towards bad guy in fight* *turns 540 degrees*.

If I don't have to do any fast turns or such, I can sort of navigate. When I was playing Bioshock, I did okay until I had to start using a ranged weapon to survive. Then I am just wasting bullets swinging around and shooting everything but the bad guys. I wonder if that is why Stormtroopers are such bad shots!

I really struggle with the controls and moving in the directions I want, whether it be the kind of camera that follows around and always positions itself (eventually) behind you (LOOKING AT YOU, DRAGON AGE) or the ones where the camera is fixed in one angled position (I love you Flame in the Flood but WHY DO YOU SWITCH BETWEEN THESE TWO)

So if there's like a dude I'll try to move towards him to kill him but I didn't realise my character was facing left a little so I run into a wall. Or off a cliff. Or around in circles. Then probably into the wall again. Drives me nuts!

Were the first games you played first person? Mine were all third person Nintendo games, so I think that is what my brain got attuned to.

So were mine, but I can play most anything pretty handily regardless of perspective. YMMV! vOv

It's okay not to like FPS games! Daethtoll's just stanning because he's obsessed with Doom like the twisted manchild he is. Just ignore him, he's a big fat idiot. Though it is funny how you got him to throw a tantrum.

Probably. I mean technically the first games were like frogger and Age of Empires lol but after that Duke Nukem and Doom are my earliest "real games" so what I am used to!

I don't mind it so much in say pokemon, but any fancier than that or a moving camera = ANNOYED
