I wouldn't characterize them as close friends, but I think Broadchurch's Hardy and Miller (m/f detectives) end up with a trust and understanding that they share with no one else by the finish of the second season. I kind of think of them as a platonic Mulder and Scully, since they have such strongly opposing viewpoints and methodologies (and there's a lot of sniping when they first meet), but they eventually recognize and support in each other a kindred dedication to uncovering the truth.

I also only ever saw 30 Rock's Liz and Jack as platonic close friends, but mileage seems to vary a lot on that.
