I like this idea a lot, but I haaated the way they styled her on the show... I'd need a much improved mental image of Lauren Tom to get into it at all.

I'm into this, OP. Really surprised AO3 doesn't have anything. There's usually at least one or two fics for rarepairs. Possibly try tumblr? The SPN tumblr fandom is a little crappy on tumblr but there are some okay fics to be found.
