I don't care too much because I don't ship anyone on that show and it doesn't even matter after the latest episode but they had, what? Two scenes together before they kissed?
It came out of nowhere and the guy is basically a background character with almost no characterization, so I do think it's an asspull.

It came out of nowhere because it's just a kiss, it's not like they are madly in love with each other.
