Agreed, Snape, Lily and James, Lockhart(I guess I wasn't too bothered because his age was never said), Remus, all too old.

Lily and James agreed on, but Snape, Lupin, and Sirius have all been through the meat grinder of life and deserve to look old beyond their years because of it.

My issue with Sirius(and Lupin kind of) was that they didn't embody the character at all. Alan Rickman made a good Snape despite being too old for the part technically, his voice fit, his presence.

And even then, Alan's Snape had much more dignity than book!Snape, who would basically lose control of his emotions from time to time.
