Re: Terrorist Attacks

The Iraqi army literally dropped most of their weapons in their retreat. Syria and Libya just had their weapons flat out stolen when they were overrun (or liberated, depending on which political narrative you side with) and had them dumped on the black market. The Company is indeed our old friend the CIA, known to arm whomever wherever because War is Good for Business and Business is Good.

Thanks for clearing it up. I'm not ready to believe that CIA is so corrupt, however what do I know. Otherwise it all makes sense.

Assad was known to be a major ally of Putin, and supplied Russia with its last real Mediterranean port. A lot of the people fighting Assad in Syria, in the early stages at least when it looked like there was going to be a full on Western intervention and before we realized "oh, shit ISIS are the ones also fighting Assad", tended to be suspiciously well armed; certainly moreso than their being homegrown rebels as they were supposedly were ought to be. Classic CIA tactics, sadly once they've armed the rebels it becomes a bit hard to ask for the guns back if we changed our minds.

There's evidence of British involvement as well.
