but yeah wasn't it a part of the books that Frodo wanted more out of life, like he was very interested in Biblo's adventures.

Whereas Sam was pretty content with his life.

And I figure if you're a person that's pretty content you probably won't be as corruptible. But who knows, the ring is like the most intense addiction possible. And there are very few people who can break addiction so easily.

jokes aside, that was my thinking. you got the sense that Frodo wanted more and was more intrigued by the unknown. Sam was a lot more staunchly "hobbit", he didn't particularly want adventure and was a lot more "simple" than even Frodo, who is lauded as a simple hobbit. Plus, it helps that he's never shown being remotely interested in the ring, or in any sort of power.

But hey, who knows.
