I'm really happy with the Carol/Tobin stuff. They were showing the start of a relationship built on the two being cute and friendly with each other. For Carol to feel that comfortable with someone is a big deal, given her history. It probably isn't true love and hell, it shouldn't have to be for them to get together for a time. If he makes her smile in a way she can't around the rest of her family because of all the guilt weighing her down, then she deserves to have that little bit of happiness.

And while I NOTP Caryl, her getting with Tobin for a time doesn't even stop Caryl from happening eventually. It's still a possibility. Much as I wish it weren't.

It also doesn't stop Carol and Daryl from meaning as much to each other as they do. Their friendship is super strong and based on similar history and a lot of respect and trust. Not being romantic doesn't make it less important.
