Oh, I know that there almost certainly won't be a third season. I'm okay with that, though another would be nice. For some reason, I can do two season shows. But I need at least two seasons. One season shows don't work for me.

Actually... Given HOW the season ended, I could imagine a third season without Galavant, or with Galavant being a guest star.

OTOH, I really doubt there will be a third season which pains me because man, I loved King Richard.

You'd be able to knock me over with a feather if Galavant got renewed, but being cast in a pilot means very little. There are so many hurdles that have to be crossed, even if he is in "first position," Galavant is a short midseason show, and like others said, the show could theoretically continue with a heavier focus on the other characters. Just saying, if by some unbelievable miracle, it got renewed, JS being cast in a pilot will have very little bearing on ABC's decision.

I'm not sure I understand the idea behind this. Is it just a mental thing to know it has two seasons? Because Galavant only ended up with 18 episodes, which is less than a "normal" show's 22 episodes. (Well, assuming it wasn't canceled after its first 13 before getting a back order.)

It is less about the number of episodes and more about the storylines. I mentally need two complete season storylines for some reason. One just isn't worth it. Doesn't matter how many episodes it is, but I need that much story to get into a show.

Interesting. Thanks for answering. I mostly just hate when a story is untold. As when a show is canceled when it hadn't finished its current storyline. I can understand feeling like a show isn't complete, even if your criteria are different than mine.

I know it's highly unlikely that the show is coming back, but I really wish it would, if only for Timothy Omundsen.

I'm kinda in love with King Richard at this point. He stole the show for me, and I could listen to him sing for hours.

Don't understand why the ratings sucked so hard. :/

Yes to all of this. Also Madalena grew on me. She was pretty awesome when full-on evil.

Yeah, once they took her full-on villain (but still giving her character a little bit of complexity), I liked her a lot more. I would love to see a new season with her as the main villain.

But really, as long as Omundsen's in the show, I think I'd be happy. Maybe he'll do something else equally awesome now.

At least they wrapped things up with season 2. The season 1 cliffhanger was a killer. I'd understand anyone being upset if they got stuck with that as an ending.
