(Anonymous) 2016-03-25 04:51 am (UTC)(link)but these "bathroom bills" instill an even less enforceable law that they somehow claim will keep (cis) women safe. they -do- know that there is currently no forcefield around bathrooms that keeps men or women out of the opposite sex's bathroom, right...? that most women who are assaulted by men in bathrooms are assaulted by men dressed as men...? that it's as simple as looking around, finding a time when no one is looking, and making a dash into the bathroom...?
their justification for "safety" just doesn't make any rational sense, and this is clearly their sad effort at hitting back at the more vulnerable parts of the LGBT community because they lost on gay marriage and are still salty about it.
