Lagaan. It's long, and it's about cricket, but it is the best and most inspiring movie about cricket you will ever see. Everything comes down to the Cricket Match Of Truth And Justice And Anti-Imperialism.

Also, while we're on sports, Chak De India is a really interesting look at contemporary India, through the lens of a girls' field hockey team that has to overcome their regionalisms and learn to think of India as one nation, and also deal with weird sexist attitudes that manifest in different forms. And also beat up a McDonald's.
