Yah me too. What else is there?? The 100 maybe? I didn't think that was supernatural...
Teen Wolf is the only teen show I've ever watched (as an adult) and then gotten obsessed with one of the pretty characters.

That show! I was addicted and so were all my female friends, most of whom (including me) were pretty snobby where media is concerned. It was just so charming that you couldn't help loving it, for all the ridiculousness. Also, many of us had had a crush on Giles (I've definitely always had a teacher kink (not in real life, mind you), and I know at least one of my friends did, too) way back in the 90s and I partially blame that fact when it comes to why so many intelligent/ higher educated girls went crazy over BBC Merlin.

Merlin was a lot of fun! Wait, you mean Gaius? I'm bad at remembering characters' names or maybe he was in parts I didn't watch.

They're referring to Anthony Stewart Head, who played BBC Merlin's Uther, but was Giles on Buffy the Vampire the Slayer in the 90s.

My first thought would have been Supernatural, but none of the stars are actually social media hermits, so...

Is spn really aimed at teenagers? The fandom has left me completely out of touch with their actual intentions for the show.

I think you might be right on the money with The 100 because it's one of only two shows listed in these comments that is currently airing its 3rd season. Idk, something about OP's insistence of having watched 2 seasons makes me think that any show with more than 3 is out of the running, meaning Teen Wolf, Merlin, The Vampire Diaries, Supernatural, and Once Upon a Time can't be it.

(Not to mention, I wouldn't say Once Upon a Time, or the other show in its third season, Sleepy Hollow, are marketed specifically to teens. And I'm iffy on Supernatural for that category as well. Now, yes. I would definitely say that's aimed at teens now, but when it debuted more than a decade ago, I think it was courting the 18-49 demographic moreso than the high schoolers.)

And on that note, if it is The 100, I'd wager the star they're crushing on is male lead Bob Morley, who's like 30 and idk how much he avoids social media, since he does have a Twitter account, but he's given interviews talking about how uncomfortable the overt, sexual attention from fans who are incredibly attracted to him makes him.

At first this was going to be my guess as well (and if the pretty lead in question were Ian Somerhalder, fucking WORD to that). However, I was under the impression that the TVD actors are pretty much all quite active on social media, which doesn't really fit with the secret, so I guess not.
