Could be worse, could be a vegan cat blog. It would be possible, although not necessarily pleasant for the dog, for a dog to live on a carefully constructed vegan diet with the help of exceptionally carefully chosen foods and supplements. Dogs are carnivore-leaning omnivores, so it could be done, but cats are obligate carnivores and that is very bad for the cat indeed.

Just because it can survive slightly longer than a cat with a bunch of health related issues does not mean it "could be worse".

well technically anon is right, it could be worse. it would be worse for a cat.

but...yeah, it's still bad for a dog too. nope nope.
