Yeah, I haven't seen this but basically all movies about some sport are shit. Maybe if it involves some kind of native it's important to them just for the "representation" and other people don't want to insult it because they don't want people to call them racist? I don't think anybody likes this crap, though.

Yeah, but as I recall (It's been a while) he's running away from people who are trying to murder him and it's really impressive that he ran away from them really fast. For a long distance. Over ice. While naked.

I assumed it was based on a legend. It's not like Chariots of Fire in the Arctic or something.

Ugh they made us watch that stupid movie soooo many times in school. I think they liked it because a sports movie wouldn't offend the boys and it was also about race, so "educational" in a way.

I was going to comment about not being much of a sports fan but liking Remember the Titans a lot as well, but that is the only sports movie I've seen and it wasn't a deliberate choice to watch either, it just happened to be on TV and I gave it a go and I ended up really enjoying it.

Man, we watched Remember the Titans in school once, and man everybody loved that movie. And it was a hard sell, because all girls' school in a country that gives 0 shits about American football...

Those are probably the only two sports movies i've ever watched and enjoyed.
