No one could top that in terms of sheer pretentiousness in a million years.

It's probably not the most pretentious thing I've ever read but I did find myself thinking, "Jesus, dial it back a notch there, Jonny." I'd really liked Everything is Illuminated (though it... also had its moments) but that follow-up is one hell of an eye-roller.
