Huh. My primary fandom is slash 24/7, and het is treated like something disgusting on the bottom of one's shoe. Can you point me to some of these fandoms where het might be accepted?

Oh man did you time travel from 2011?

I'm not super duper active in any big fandoms rn but I chill with Marvel (duh), and I've never seen anybody being disgusted by het there.

Also, like I said, fetishizing != not being gross. And if "het is treated like something disgusting on the bottom of one's shoe," I can bet there's some fetishizing happening

that I had a breast cancer scare a few years ago and what got me to go get a mammogram was hearing House in my head yelling at me to go get one (luckily I didn't have cancer, it was just a harmless cyst that didn't even need to be operated on)
