Don't assume writers have lost the will to finish a story just because they take longer than a month to update. I have one I haven't updated in over two years because the past two years have been shitty for me and because I've been been trying to work on paid stuff. Life happens, you know? Writing is hard at the best of times. Some people abandon their stories and don't really care much about them in the first place, but a lot of us invest a great deal of our time and emotional energy into writing the best fics we can and don't want to just throw something together for the sake of a prompt update. It's taken me years to even get close to finishing this fic, and I wouldn't have bothered with that godawful mess of a canon at all if I didn't have any passion for the pairing or desire to see it complete. I want to read the whole thing right now, too, lol. Try to be more patient, or just don't read WIPs.
