"I don't mean to be a downer, but things aren't so great for baby polar bears. What we're doing with the climate is destroying their habitat, leading to horrific thing X, Y, and Z happening.

If you want more information about that, here are some links where you can educate yourself about the plight of polar bears and find out what you can do to help the poor bears if you're so inclined. But overall, the polar bears are very threatened right now. I know it's terrible to think about, but that's the truth."

It's leaps away from

"Welcome to the real world."

Which encourages zero people to help or learn.

Ah yes, another prat who thinks that FS is the right forum for delivering complex and upsetting scientific information in a straightforward and accessible way.

There are a ton of documentaries out there that are trying to present this information. How many of those have you and sad!OP watched? I'm going to bet on zero.

Which encourages zero people to help or learn.

That's what I do with my day job, pal. I'm off the clock here. And even though I'm not a nice person and am not claiming to be, at least I'm fucking doing something with my life. So stick it up your sanctimonious jaxy and fuck off.

Even if I answered your questions about the documentaries, you wouldn't believe me. So as you wish, I will leave.

I'm sorry you're so unhappy, anon.

If this is not the correct forum for delivering complex and upsetting scientific information in a straightforward and accessible way, it's probably not the correct forum for being a complete fucking jackass, either.

I think you're in the wrong job, cupcake.
