I'm being really serious when I say the appeal, at least from what I've seen, is the same as baseball. Like, most of the same elements are there. Same historical focus, exciting plays, more or less similar paces, same appeal of spending a nice day outside with some beer, same kind of fandom. So sometimes a match goes five days, but that's not that far off from a four-game series in MLB.

The rules are a little more complicated to explain (although I think it's understandable to anyone who knows baseball, and I'll probably try and post an explanation when I'm not on a phone). But in general, as to the appeal, just assume that it's the same things that draw you to baseball.

Makes sense. I don't much like baseball culture either :)
