I guess my response to this is suspension of disbelief, which I realize is not helpful at all. :/

eh honestly different people have trouble suspending their disbelief for different things

I'm not familiar with Daredevil though I have seen superhero-esque violence in other media and I guess I just shrug and assume if they don't die on the scene and they're not a protag, they're not gonna die

Because (for instance) in Daredevil. Punisher goes to hit someone in the head to kill them and Daredevil stops him. Then Daredevil hits someone in the head like 4 times with a gun-fist weapon.

If they are going to say, 'this doesn't kill poeple' fine. But don't make your non-killing hero do more violent things that DON'T kill someone than the hero that is supposed to be killing.
