I think it's really gross how Wolverine can terrorize, assault, and murder countless women and still be the 'hero,' but the moment one of them decides to stand up for herself and fight back, she's the 'villain' and he's the 'victim.'

I have a lot of complaints about Wolverine's character but idk if using Mystique as your primary defense is the best way to go. she's pulled so much terrible, back-stabbing shit that I find it difficult to muster up a whole lot of sympathy for her here (and I say this as someone who truly and genuinely likes Mystique when she's being villainous or morally grey)

No. That's why I have a lot of complaints about him. I don't feel particularly sorry for Mystique or him when they do awful shit to each other. It almost cancels out after a while

Same. Next to Azula, Mystique was the first villian I ever truly genuinely liked, and still do.

i was SO PISSED when he stabbed Rachel. He was like "i have to stop you from being a murderer by... murdering you"
RACHEL has severe PTSD has been used as a weapon. has lost her WHOLE FAMILY and is feeling very unstable. Logan kills people ALL THE TIME even as an xmen member. his power is KNIFE HANDS.
She's trying to kill Selene, a 5000+ year old sociopath who sucks the life out of innocent passerby. she is 99.9999% of the time LITTERALLY UNSTOPPABLE. she controls ALL INORGANIC MATTER and will just keep trying to kill her new family over and over. No prison could ever hold her, there's no law to turn her over to that could possibly not just have her immediatly freed again (after killing countless more people)
and Rachel has the chance to stop her. like YEAH killing is wrong but this is a pretty gray area, and wolverines just up on his weird fake high horse. UGH
