I didn't really mind the orgy scene, if mostly because I didn't care about it, and also because Lito was involved (and honestly makes more sense for a scene like that). I'm a bit weirded out that more people don't ship them, though. I don't know if they have MORE chemistry, or if it's just that they have the chemistry I care about more, but holy shit do they have chemistry. I started shipping-shipping them in the physical sense because of the machete fight, because Sun with a machete is amazing, but they just ... Capheus is light and loyalty and joy, and Sun is a darker, more betrayed sort of loyalty, and I love how she protects him, and he has so much potential to bring light and hope back to her, and I just want to see them together. Canon, fanfic. All of the above. It is the single thing I ship strongest on this show. I mean, I love Nomi/Amanita as well, but they're already established. Sun and Capheus aren't there yet, and I want to see them discover it. The lack of fic or joy about the pairing bums me out :(

I guess my issue with the orgy scene was that it kind of emphasized how kind of desexualized the PoC sensate are? Obviously Nomi/Amanita and Lito/Hernando have a ton of sex, but I feel like they're really the only onscreen PoC we've seen that demonstrates any kind of sexuality. Kala has the one kiss with Wolfgang yeah but that's about it for her, while Sun and Capheus pretty much demonstrate zero sexual interest in anyone or anything. If they were intentionally written as asexual or sex-repulsed or whatever I'd be okay with it but the creators have explicitly stated all the sensates are pansexual. So for the three main PoC characters to display such little sexuality in a show that explores sex and sexuality so much...just rubs me the wrong way.

well for me at least they had more chemistry than the other two sensate pairings lol. And I absolutely LOVE Nomi/Amanita as well, they're one of my favorite parts of the show, but as you said they're already canon and we already see a ton of their relationship history. Sun and Capheus are just starting out and there are SO MANY PLACES YOU CAN GO WITH IT like how they both cope with doing awful things in the name of familial love and how fucking well they adapt to the whole sense8 business (I think they're the first ones to actually apply the whole tapping into each other's skills idea?) and like you said they complement each other so well with Sun being the dark to Capheus's life and I just want a ton of fic where Capheus and Sun just chill on his couch watching Van Damme movies with Sun loudly complaining about VD's shitting fighting technique.
