23. I feel the same way about FMA. I had been into anime for many years before that, but ever since I bought that FMA DVD out of a whim three years ago, it has been my love. I don't think that you have to replace it, and I've been able to enjoy series since then. Just try not to compare then to your favorite.

27. Tanaka! Yay for a Genshiken secret! Tanaka is sexy, though I had a bigger crush on Madarame. Tanaka probably makes the best boyfriend out of all the guys though. Tanaka/Ohno is so cute!

41. I'm a huge yaoi/BL/slash fan, and I really like Death Note, but I don't get it either. Really, I don't get any romance in that series at all. Maybe I'm not far enough into it? I haven't gotten to the second part yet, and that's where most of the yaoi is from, it looks like.

I've heard about Matt, and it confuses me. He's cute, but he seems like the "enter-any-personality-you-want" type of character. And if he's someone's favorite, I'd be really disturbed by that person...Not as much as Light fans though.

The motivation is the most important part, for sure! I've got nothing against his actions though. Of course I'M never gonna kill anyone! I don't have superpowers, it's be way too difficult.

You don't need superpowers to kill people, you know. Sylar's first murder was committed entirely without superpowers, as were several others.

Do you see nothing wrong with killing people (including children and whole families) to further your own goals, not even to ensure your own survival, but to satisfy your own selfish need to be 'important'? O_o

I'm really glad that you are too lazy to act on that, then. Really, I'll just assume you're kidding, or have not thought about this that well, or whatever. Because if you're serious, please get therapy.

Actually that's a good point.

But the fact is, he gained power from the murder. If I killed someone, I'd just be left with a dead body and a sense of satisfaction. It's not worth getting caught for.

I don't think it's laziness. Just logic? And maybe I would get therapy but I can't afford it.

Yes. Yes he is. But it makes him a better person. Most people are selfish aren't they? It's just another self-centered act. Not even that bad if you believe in an afterlife.

I don't think there's anything so wrong with self interest. Everyone dies.

I also don't think you understand how hard it can be to get into therapy.

Do you live in the US? I live in the UK. I went to the doctors and didn't hear back for a couple of months. I went again about 6 months ago and I still haven't heard from them.

I guess you are 14 years old and think that "everyone is selfish" is that great big revelation that allows you to be as much of an asshole as you want.
You'll grow out of this eventually, and let's hope you do it before you ruin your life and alienate your friends and family.

I know what you're talking about. Honestly? I don't think 'everyone is selfish' is an excuse to do whatever you like. I don't act that way towards the people I care about because, well, I care about them.

I go to a therapist myself, and I have been for the past few years. It wasn't that hard to get an appointment.

I agree that everyone is selfish, but that is supposed to be a realization that makes you want to be less selfish. And there's a big difference between cutting in line and murdering innocents.

I guess you live in the US? It can be hard to get appointments.

I don't believe that if you had Sylar's powers you wouldn't do the same thing.
