Even with dial-up, it doesn't take that long. I recently switched from ye olde copper wire dial-up, and yeah, it was slow, but it didn't take ten years to load. If it took two minutes, I'd be over in another window looking at something else. It's not that fucking hard. There is no excuse you can make that will justify this laziness.

It's also not that fucking hard to realize you're getting worked up over people who are TOO LAZY to log out?? Uh.

I'm just arguing that people these days are fucking lazy, period. But being lazy about the internet? That's a sure sign that you weigh 500lbs and piss on yourself cause you can't be bothered to actually walk to the toilet.

WAIT so what's so bad about NOT logging out? Do you have some EXTREME PHOBIA OF RP JOURNALS?? If you tell 'em, they'll understand and logout for you! If not, then why the fuck would anyone want to reload a page with 80+ images just so they won't be SEEN AS LAZY OH MY GOD? Is it SO DIFFICULT to find out who you're talking to? Most people will tell you! Or will when you ask!

Is there some other reason? Did someone who replied via RPjournal KILL YOUR FATHER and RAPE YOUR LITTLE SISTER and STAB YOU IN THE FACE? What's your beef?

Does it MATTER that they're replying with an RP journal? You're essentially replying to the SAME PERSON

Meh. Like I said, I don't notice people are using rp journals until they come out and say it. Why do they always feel the need to announce "I'm too lazy to log out so I'll use my rp journal! LOL!" Um...ok. Use it if you want, don't go advertising it. It's stupid.

In my case, half the time I don't care. Oh noes, it's my RP account. Now you know my dirty secret. It's not like you can't see people's RP accounts from their profiles half the time.

Hence the "don't want to bother logging out".

(But I will also say that the speed is the biggest thing most people don't anyway. I used to have a computer that had a three gb harddrive and like 256 mbs of RAM and even with cable, it made me want to cry. so. some people connect to the internet using bubblegum and paperclips.)

Really, I don't care what account people are commenting from. I barely notice that it's an rp account.

It's when people have to sit there and go "LOL! Commenting from RP account cause I'm too lazy to switch!" that just makes me boggle. Too lazy to switch, but still need to tell the world how lazy they are by taking more time to type that up than it would to switch? Unreal.

(I used to have a no name comp I bought from the Salvation Army that ran on Windows 98 and didn't have a modem when I got it. I had to put it in just so I could use dial-up. This was within the last two years.)

I know in the past the widget-- LJ login had some problems too, but eh. NOT EVERYONE USES it but once again, it's a lot faster if you're in a thread to say "excuse me for the account" then try to reload something AGAIN, depending on what's going on the page. Different people, different strokes.

Yeah, sometimes the little bitch just logs me out. But eh, two mouse clicks and I'm in again. 'Sides, if I'm going somewhere that I know I'm going to comment, I switch journals BEFORE I click so I don't have to reload at all. Advance planning, I gots it.

(As far as I know, my old comp is still chugging in the hands of my nieces.)

I've had this weird thing where it refuses to let me switch and then freezes firefox for a few seconds. And yeah, I try to switch my journal before I do any refreshing or loading. BUT UH HONESTLY? This account has like ten times as many icons as my other one does and I just don't caaare. But then I might have to decide between my five million sockpuppet journals.

(I eventually got a new one but I have noooo idea what happened to the old one)

Now I'm sitting here going "Who spends more moeny for icons on a rp journal than their regular jouranl?" That's just because I spend more time on my real journal. To you it probably makes sense since you're on it more.

The RP that we're in has a lot of "icon interaction" or. whatever the fuck ever it's called, in that we base reactions/actions on expressons happening in the icon. But yeah, the particular journal I was commenting on has had 10 times the amount of comments that my regular journal has. I don't really use it that much anymore besides making posts and commenting to people's journals/comments and what not.

H ha ha! I can't imagine that anything I had to say to a friend would ever be so important that I couldn't log out and say it to them "in person" as it were. If you RP together and are being silly, fine, but commenting in someone's personal journal with your RP journal? It just seems tacky.

Not that I could comment with an RP journal in my friends' journals, they mostly lock them.
