17) I haven't heard from Kelly Couto in a while -- what's she doing now?
21) Isn't it good to frown on OOC-ness and be harsh on apps?
33) That would actually be kind of funny.
46) IAWTS
56) Isn't this a repeat from ages ago?
61) So liking Fushigi Yuugi makes you a weakling, a proponent of the patriarchy, and not worthy of being someone's friend. Really.
72) I'm the same way. I play through on my own instinct first, only looking up what I've been stuck on for at least three days, and on my second playthrough, I try to get everything but eventually give up. ^^;
Not!secret 3) I love you.
2) Uh... how is this not!fandom?

It made more sense in context. ^^; Hi!

Okay, this is the only one of these I'm going to respond to because I know it was a mistake to post that thing in the first place. It was done for my benefit, not anyone else's so it's not worded very well.

I was briefly friends with a guy who loved bad shoujo. I mean LOVED it. Not just shoujo, either, but a lot of harem anime like Love Hina. He'd put it on for hours when people were over. I don't even know what most of the shows were, but they were pretty cliched and poorly done. After a few months of watching virtually nothing but that crap, and hearing him sniffle at every soap opera moment, it started to get old.

The problem with it, is that he took the cliches literally. He thought that's how life was, that he, being the big, strong man, would come to the aid of all the women he deliberately surrounded himself with to be their emotional crutch when they needed it. He told me that was the basis for all his relationships and that was how he wanted it. Once the girl was emotionally secure and confident, the "magic was gone" for him and he'd break it off. That was when the magic was gone for me, and that secret was my venting.

[/way too long explanation]

Suddenly this secret actually makes sense. I'm kind of glad you explained it because I thought it was another rant against "weak female characters" and people who like them. But if someone was taking it that seriously and believing real women should to be like that and manipulating them, that's kind of sick and I probably wouldn't talk to them either.

(I like Love Hina though. But I wouldn't want anyone to think that should be real life.)
